A Quick Note: Should We Go Local?
Over the past few months, I've found myself pulled closer to what’s happening here in Kentucky—from local detention policies to school board decisions to efforts like Kentucky Citizens for Democracy.
I started Take Action Now to help people fight back against authoritarianism—and lately, I’m wondering if the best place to do that might be right here at home.
I’m thinking about focusing more attention on local and state issues in Kentucky: the policies being made quietly, the ways national strategy plays out locally, and the people pushing back.
I’d love to hear what you think. Would a Kentucky-focused version of Take Action Now speak to you? Would you read it? Share it?
