RALLY POINT: We Hold the Line Together
They are counting on division.
This week, the Trump administration pulled three levers of exclusion.
Refugees locked out. Wikipedia
Vaccines restricted. Newsweek
Political opponents punished. Wikipedia
None of it meant to serve the people. All of it meant to control the narrative, consolidate power, and decide who gets to belong.
But here’s the truth they can’t erase: democracy doesn’t survive by sorting the worthy from the rest. It survives when we stand together, especially when we’re told not to.
So we hold the line for the refugee. For the elder. For the silenced lawyer and the disillusioned voter. We hold it for each other.
Here’s the message we send back: we don’t abandon each other. Not now. Not ever.
To hold the line means action.
🛑 Call Congress: Demand immediate oversight of Executive Order 14163. Refugee bans must not become routine. [Use: 5calls.org or call your reps directly.]
🛑 Donate to or volunteer with refugee resettlement agencies like HIAS, LIRS, or IRC. They’re under pressure and need backup.
🛑 Support legal organizations defending press freedom and government transparency. If they come for one law firm today, they’ll come for watchdogs next. Groups like Protect Democracy and ACLU are already fighting.
🛑 Use your voice. Share what’s happening. Speak the names of the excluded. Be louder than the silence they’re trying to build.
Because their playbook is exclusion.
Ours is solidarity.
We hold the line—together.
