Prayers for the Weary
This week: For those marching under the banner of No Kings
Let this be a prayer for the ones walking with purpose this week. Not because you believe marching will fix everything. But because you know staying silent never has.
For the organizers who mapped routes, coordinated teams, managed permits, and planned for what could go wrong…may you feel seen. May your work hold.
For the marchers who will lace up your shoes and step into the heat, the noise, the tension…may your feet stay steady, your voice stay clear, your presence stay rooted in something deeper than outrage.
For the ones who can’t be there but carry the same fire…may you find your way to speak, to show up, to stand firm in your corner of this fight.
And for those still watching from the sidelines, wondering if it’s too late or if it even matters…know this: authoritarians don’t want a crowd that won’t scatter. The Trump regime doesn’t want a crowd that won’t scatter. It doesn’t want a movement that refuses to disappear. That’s why your presence matters.
We march to remind the Trump regime and its enablers:
There are no kings here.
And we’re not going anywhere.
Stay sharp. Stay steady. We need everyone.
