A New Rhythm for Take Action Now
The fight for democracy needs more than news. It needs culture, spirit, and soul.
The resistance doesn’t just live in headlines.
It lives in our voices, our stories, our songs, our prayers.
It lives in the ways we carry truth when power tries to silence it.
Over the past few months, Take Action Now has focused on tracking the creep of authoritarianism and naming the ways we can push back. Recently, I’ve seen larger organizations step into that space—amplifying the same message with broader reach and greater speed. Rather than duplicate their efforts, I see this as an opportunity to shift course and contribute in a way that feels uniquely my own.
Because this moment doesn’t just need information.
It needs imagination.
It needs spirit.
It needs culture that knows how to fight back—and how to hold on to hope.
So starting next week, Take Action Now is evolving.
We’re still calling out the dangers. But we’re also building tools that strengthen our spirits and deepen our resolve.
Here’s the new weekly rhythm:
MONDAY — Chant It Louder
Short, powerful protest chants ready to echo in the streets.
TUESDAY — Resistance Stories
Tales of courage, small acts of defiance, and the power of holding the line.
WEDNESDAY — Songs for the Movement
Old tunes. New lyrics. Protest music you can actually sing.
THURSDAY — Prayers for the Weary
For the tired, the furious, the faithful, and the still-standing.
FRIDAY — Eyes Open: The Weekly Watch
A short roundup of what authoritarianism did this week—and one action you can take.
